Halloween Party: Nick Lachey + Vanessa Minnillo

Halloween is over (sigh), but tuck this event away in your back pocket so you can pull it out for next year! It is brimming with tons of spooky inspiration. The Haunted Mansion themed party was held at Nick Lachey’s home in Bel Air and hosted a small group of about 40-50 people. The Party Goddess did not overlook a single detail of this lavish spooktacular affair. Christine Chang Photography captured the entire night to eerie perfection, especially Vanessa Minnillo’s spooky yet stunning Bride of Frankenstein costume.

The party was sponsored by SkelAnimals, and many of them made an appearance throughout the “Fright Night”, and guests were each given one to take home as party favors. Nick was dressed as a fabulous Frankenstein and they danced the night away to 80’s and 90’s hits such as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.

We love all the lighting that crawled up the walls of the event and gave it an eerie glow. A large spider was perched on the wall overlooking the guests and surrounded by a large glowing web. A “dead man” was spotted floating in the pool while large eyeballs hung from trees and strands of mummy-esque fabric swayed from doorways. Real Party: Ali Landry’s Daughter Estella Turns 2!

When fabulous photographer Christine Chang sent over these photos from Ali Landry’s daughter, Estella’s 2nd birthday party we could not wait to share them with you! There are so many fabulous, fun details and we especially love the brilliantly bright lollipops that were colorfully displayed all over! The theme was ‘Shirley Temple’ and took place at The Beach House in Malibu, California. The soiree was put on by the talented The Party Goddess.

Christine did such a stunning job of capturing Ali and her daughter together! We love how the photos of little Estella truly remind us of old Shirley Temple films. There were also so many fun activities from face painting and sand castle building, to waitresses who interacted with the children while dressed up as Shirley Temple. The guests played in the sand on ‘The Sunny Beach of Peppermint Bay’ and sipped on lemonade from a bright red and white striped lemonade stand.

Smiles were in abundance as guests lounged on beach chairs propped in front of vintage Shirley Temple photos while enjoying the sun and watching the children play. The sign of a successful party is when both children and parents are having a good time, and they clearly were at this event!

Bubbles, Baubles & Breasts: Part Deux

There were so many delicious details that we had to come back to give you even more! When we met with the caterers, Patina Catering, we told them we wanted delicate finger foods accented with our pink and white color pallete. Pink lemonade, ice cream cones and delicate profiteroles were the perfect compliment for the yummy bubbly served in filigree rimmed glasses. Check out the sharp looking waiters matching the events decor! Ooh la la!!! Of course the actual baubles, by Shawn Warren, stole the show and were a huge hit among the Malibu elite attending the event. Guests were able to admire their adorned selves in the mirrors floating above the vanity table which also featured these adorable cameo inspired hand mirrors. Check out yesterdays blog for a photo!

When our clients came to us wanting a pink and white pallete for an event featuring jewelry designer Shawn Warren benefiting the Susan G. Komen for The Cure ® foundation we were more than ecstatic! Since Shawn Warren was coming over from the East Coast, we wanted to incorporate the fresh, clean feeling of the Hamptons infused with the luxe richness of her jewelry and did so by adding in French Baroque furniture, including Swarovski tufted arm chairs and floral chandeliers.

Some of the details of the event included custom designed couture linens, silver service catering including a wait staff dressed in custom white linen attire with pink contrasting belts, and even individual hand-made white chocolate jewelry boxes containing a replica of one of Shawn Warren’s rings! Custom pillows were made from hand painted silks and linen flown in from a London mill house, accenting the white wicker Hamptons sets topped off with arrangements of light blush peonies, hydrangeas and roses arranged by the talented George Woods of The Woods Exquisite Flowers.
