When planning your wedding, you will find a plethora of talented vendors out there, especially when looking for your stationery. Do you remember this dazzling duo in which we had the opportunity to design their Palm Springs wedding from start to finish. We get so excited when we get to do both the wedding styling and the stationery to tie all of the design elements together. It is one of the unique aspects about our team at Lollipop Events & Designs!

What made this even more fabulous is that we were able to hand illustrate a few aspects of their wedding. We had a blast hand illustrating their love story onto the ceremony programs! Can you see the similarities down to her ring?

We often are contacted and asked if we hand illustrate, so over the next few weeks we will be showcasing some of our invitations and other stationery in which we have gone back to the time honored art of hand illustration. I think we can get lost in the sea of graphics and clip art which can be fabulous, but nothing is as custom as a custom illustration!

These tables vary in their styles but are all equally exquisite. No matter what style you choose on your wedding day, with some thought and creativity you can make it unique and chic.

Pretty in Purple: Perfect for the couple who want a feeling of Springtime and romance. Lace service plates set on a background of Topaz fabric accented by a delicate carafe and plates with unexpected Asian patterns. Pastels purple flowers with a touch of glamour, perfect for the Spring.

Go Globally Gold: For the couple who loves travel. Chevrons gold presentation plates accented by gold flatware set on a background of cherry satin fabrics in an ikat print. Tumblers with glowing gold rims and plates layered in ethnic patterns all fuse together to create worldly elegance.

Rustic Yet Elegant: Green, shades of copper, bronzes, and Metallics. Malachite dishes and vermeil spoons antique metal chargers, set upon an antique Spanish table. Goblets and glasses in four different shades of greens and bronzes mixed together. This table shows that sticking with two main colors, but using multiple shades of each color creates a gorgeous table with depth and glam.

Perfect Patterns: How many patterns make an appearance on this tabletop? We counted five! Striped water glasses alongside bubble double old-fashioned glasses in shades of blue. Blue and white striped napkins set atop Malabar fabric in shades of red and blue. This is a perfect example that mixing and matching creates a designer savvy look.

Adoring the work of SCAD student and 19 year old fashion photographer Rockie Nolan. These photos of her lounging with her boyfriend are spectacular. We delved further into her portfolio to find these dreamy photos of a bow tie and words. We put them together and found that everything from the photography to the stunning styling of their ensembles serves as fantastic inspiration for an engagement shoot.

SEA AND THE CITY. Take it from the cult classic and do it the Carrie Bradshaw way, your way. Here Paula Luna photographs two different couples for their engagement sessions with two totally different styles, yet both completely stylish because each couple stayed true to themselves.

Accessorize your table, literally. Della Peacock of Dellables, the floral design company on Maui who collaborated with us on our recent Majestic Maui wedding, is the genius behind this simple idea. She purchased these patterned bangles at Forever 21 for a budget savvy price and used them as mini vases to bedeck the table.

This idea would also be stunning with vintage metal bangles in copper, silver and gold and even given to guests after the event!
