Our blushing bride had two main requests, she wanted to get married in Maui with the sparkling sea as the backdrop and she wanted to infuse peacock elements throughout the day. We were delighted by the challenge to design a seaside wedding with accents of peacocks in a new way.

Starting with peacock feathers as our design platform, we knew that we did not want to go the traditional jewel toned route and decided to use lovely, light bleached peacock feathers instead. We were especially inspired by the textures and muted iridescent colors that reflected from the feathers, and consequentially our pastel palette of light  lavender, aqua, green,  ivory and pale pink was born.

We did not want to take the peacock theme too literally, but instead infuse other elements of peacocks that we were inspired by. We loved the textures of their long feathered tails and how they faded from one glorious color to another. The textures of their tails inspired us to infuse ruffled elements throughout the day and their colors inspired us to create hand dyed ombre runners which would also blend seamlessly into the ocean backdrop.

The most literal peacock element that would make an appearance was a bleached feather at each table setting alongside patterned pineapple brocade fabric that had an understated tropical air.
