Do you remember this spectacular glamorous rock n’ roll wedding we featured last year? There was a ton of buzz about the bridal bouquet made entirely of peacock feathers, and carefully created by the talented bride herself who is the designer behind Diamond Willow.

Photos: Christine Chang Photography

We received so many e-mails about the bouquet and were so enamored with this unique design that we enlisted the talented bride/jewelry designer of Diamond Willow to make the same bouquet for the Maui ceremony and reception we did last year and recently blogged about.

She created a spectacular bleached peacock feather version for the softer style of the wedding. It was so fun to see the same design look completely different against the backdrop of the sparkling sea and soft pastel palettes. This just goes to show that this bouquet is so stunningly unique that it could really be used in any wedding. It gorgeously sweeps the floor and adds such high fashion drama to the wedding gown.

Kristi of Diamond Willow desribes her style as “being the quintessential san francisco girl, i’ve been immersed in a melting pot of culture and fashion as long as i’ve been able to breathe. Growing up heavily influenced by my mother’s prim japanese side, but in love with everything rebellious from my father’s rocker tendencies. What you see is a direct result of being trapped in my room with a pair of scissors, a needle and thread, a fear of clowns, and a love of nature.”

Kristi has also decided to add “bouquet designer” to her list of talents, so now you can purchase one of these custom bouquets in either the jewel tone, bleached feather version, or any design you can think of!

To win the custom brilliant bleached feather bouquet, leave a comment below with just a little something about your wedding (or family member/friends wedding). We will announce the winner this Friday!

Our wedding is going to be held at a small historic chapel out side of Chicago, and everyone will be treated to a ice cream cone from dairy queen across the street. These bleached features would go great with my tux. Maybe I’ll carry them if we win!

My wedding is going to have gorgeous white washed wood tables with vintage tea stained doilies, pastel colored vintage glassware and hints gold for a bit of bling. My dress is clean and modern but I’m accessorizing with gorgeous vintage broaches and shoes and that bouquet would just MAKE it all come together so beautifully!!!!

Our wedding is a vintage military wedding, done in a classic old hollywood style, in hollywood!

Our wedding is going to be a two-part… a traditional ceremony held this summer in India, and then a more modern style reception held at a hall in NJ. Cool giveaway!

Our wedding has a vintage glam theme so this bouquet would work perfectly! The ceremony is going to be held at an old church and then the reception is going to be held at a women’s club which has this amazing ball room and sitting rooms.

I think this is so smart, especially for those on the whim weddings.

  7. christina on February 16th, 2010 12:23 pm

This would be great for my outdoor white gray and yellow wedding. Thanks!

And..a family friend had her wedding at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. All the girls wore taupe Victorian-Potato style gowns via Comme de Garconne, fuchsia satin Christian Louboutin pumps, peacock feathers in their hair, with eyes shadowed to match! …a big English roses every where. The Bride wore vintage Victorian inspired Valentino. It was wild!

  9. Tammy on February 16th, 2010 12:30 pm

I love the feathers! Totally vintage-elegant-glam! I’m trying to incorporate feathers in to the centerpieces as well!

  10. Ashley on February 16th, 2010 12:38 pm

My wedding is going to be this spring in a vineyard, I have sort of a rustic, shabby chic theme going on, this bouquet would be perfect!

  11. Kay on February 16th, 2010 12:44 pm

I fell in love with this beautiful and unique peacock bouquet the moment I saw it on your blog. Our summer wedding will be an outdoor eco-friendly celebration of family and friends at the Lake Temescal Beach House in Oakland, California. Our theme will incorporate the peacock feathers and I love how this is an eco-friendly alternative to a floral bouquet….keeping my fingers crossed that I win!

My best friend is getting married in July, and the theme is peacock feathers! I would be the BEST maid-of-honor to surprise her with this bouquet. :)

The original post of Kristi and Anthony’s wedding in August of last year has completely changed my outlook on weddings. A friend forwarded me the link (because she liked the rings) and I proceeded to forward onto two or three other friends. Everything about her wedding I adored. Been reading ilovelolliblog ever since with a new found inspiration for many things. P.S. I never even knew there was wedding/event blogs before this article came my way.

  16. Crystal on February 16th, 2010 6:29 pm

Ah! I LOVE this bouquet… I saw it on your blog many months back and did all kinds of googling to try to find one but to no avail. If I don’t win it, I’m so excited Kristi is making them. My wedding is in October, I’m hoping I’ll be a fraction of the rock star she was!

  17. Dina on February 16th, 2010 6:32 pm

Those are amazing! I’m getting married in the sculpture garden of a modern art museum, and this bouquet would be so special! We’re going very modern with design – black, white, and eggplant/aubergine purple.

  18. Jenny on February 16th, 2010 7:51 pm

My wedding is going to be in whites and creams – my favorite colors! It will be beautiful – a summer wonderland.

  19. Alicia on February 17th, 2010 11:52 am

I love this! It’s so different, and nothing like I’ve ever seen. My wedding is in May and is a small, intimate DIY event. This would go perfectly!

  20. Stephanie on February 17th, 2010 2:52 pm

This is so elegant and edgy all at once! I LOVE IT. The last wedding I worked on was romantic and modern with a pink & black color scheme . . . this is so completely different and amazing. I would have NEVER thought to bleach the feathers – genious!

  21. Sylvia on February 17th, 2010 7:08 pm

I absolutely died when I saw this bouquet! Jason and I are trying to compromise on our bouquet expectations.

He wants something lush that we will keep as a memento; I don’t want a bunch of dead flowers to hold onto for the evening!

This is the perfect fit for us. It will look at home with our outdoor/nature focused wedding and we will have something beautiful to keep as a memento (that isn’t dead flowers)!

Wedding planning for me is EXTREMELY difficult because I envision my day as being equal parts drama AND romance…1part Beyonce+ 1 part Rhianna.. I don’t want my wedding to be cookie cutter. This bouquet would really be all those things, its high fashion but also soft and sexy and I think it would look amazing amid my candle/tattoo/black and gold wedding. Thank you!!

  24. Katie on February 18th, 2010 3:04 pm

My upcoming wedding is all about birds…and vintage style! My decor will be filled with birds, from our wishing tree guestbook, to our vintage bird cake topper, to our centerpieces featuring a plethora of bird figurines. My ivory lace gown would look absolutely awesome with that bleached bouquet – the peacock feathers are simply stunning and so unique!

Thank you so much for this giveaway – it is awesome! :)

  25. Cristi on February 18th, 2010 5:29 pm

My wedding is Old Hollywood Movie Premiere themed, complete with red carpet, and inspired by our love of old monster movies. (Think Frankenstein & Bride) We are paying for everything ourselves, and it will be mostly DIY. This handmade bouquet would be perfect to complement the decor! Not to mention how beautifully it would complement my dress! BTW, the designer is a ROCKSTAR for making these.

  26. Cheryl (littledeadmommy) on February 18th, 2010 7:26 pm

    That bouquet is gorgeous!
We just picked out my engagement ring the other day so I haven’t gotten down to planning anything for my wedding yet. I do know that I want a fairly small outdoor wedding and I have a few other thoughts swirling in my head.

We’re doing all feathers instead of flowers, so that bouquet would be awesome. Our wedding is all about the night, and we are using black feathers everywhere for a ethereal touch.

  28. Helen on February 19th, 2010 7:25 am

What a gorgeous bouquet, how unusual, I love it! Just gathering ideas and starting to wedding plan but nothing decided as yet here!

  29. Jill on February 19th, 2010 10:48 am

Our wedding is being held beside the 11acre pond on my (soon to be our!) 140 acre property. We are having a bouncy castle set up after the ceremony…but the most unique part of our wedding is that we are having two flower girls and one is my miniature pot-bellied pig, Tula. We are also having our three dogs in the wedding and my dad and I will be riding in on horses.

I am in love with this bouqet. I think it would be such a beautiful addition to our animal friendly wedding.

  30. Tammy Middleton on February 19th, 2010 11:06 am

My daughter sent me this site, saying how much she just LOVED this bouquet!
How very unusual and elegant it is!

My daughter is getting married in Sept. 2010.
This bouquet would make a wonderful addition to her ceremony.

  31. Brittan on February 19th, 2010 12:08 pm

Our wedding is actually going to be a peacock wedding in regards to the colors– the jewel tones of a peacocks feathers will be throughout the wedding. I LOVE BLUE AND GREEN! I couldn’t be more excited to put that in there.

  32. adrienne on February 19th, 2010 2:44 pm

Oh, I hope I’m not too late. I love this!

We’re getting married at a New York City farm. Yes, you heard that right. A farm. In New York City. And I absolutely adore it.

  33. Stacy on February 19th, 2010 2:53 pm

I adored pretty much everything about this beautiful wedding from the moment I first saw it last year!! I had been googling peacock feathers ever since although could never make something half as stunning as the real thing!! I’m getting married in a Tuscany this September and it would make my day to have such a beautiful bouquet! <3
