She put on her stunning Vera Wang wedding gown and metallic sandals by Betsey Johnson . It was her wedding day and she was getting married at the historic El Cortez in downtown San Diego to the man of her dreams. She was going to be surrounded by beautiful bridesmaids that day, including her two sisters. All of them would be wearing dazzling dresses designed and custom created by her own mother and topped off  with lovely Michael Kors pumps. Today was the day that Christie and Danny would exchange vows…

She is an interior designer so used her creative skills to create  the overall wedding design of her dreams. The overall theme, tables, frames, photos, colors, and floral concept were her dreamy vision.

She worked with Jennifer from Nantucket Florals to create the sensational and striking floral arrangements that were scattered throughout the ceremony and reception. The El Cortez had been a landmark in San Diego since it’s grand opening in 1927 and Christie made sure to recapture the history and preserve the era by adding elements of feathers to her brilliant bouquets. She also surrounded guests with glamorous black and white framed photos of famous film icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn.

The feeling of old hollywood,  a historic landmark hotel, famous film icons, and a gorgeous and glamorous couple set the tone for this romantic day. For additional photos go to Justin Lee’s Photography blog!
