Here is the third inspiration board in our series for our Free Save the Date Contest! Go here to enter! Crafty chic encompasses so many styles. It is all about the handcrafted, homemade and DIY touches that a bride & groom spend time on infusing into the big day to show a personal reflection of them as a couple. Guests really appreciate these personal handmade touches! These weddings are generally  more casual affairs from backyard bbq’s to farmyard picnics. There are so many brilliant ideas! Give your guests lavender sachets wrapped in vintage fabrics, construct drink umbrellas out of patterned recycled paper and serve ice cream in flea market mugs with multi colored spoons. The only rule is to BE CREATIVE!

Now for a Real Wedding below…

Craftychic3We had to post this Real Wedding in it’s entirety as it epitomizes crafty chic. We found it here via Casandoideias and it was photographed by dinofaphotography and Monika Broz. The day was filled with inspiring ideas including handmade origami crane garlands, wooden signs, milk glass vases, handcrafted paper wreaths, and an ice cream stand. The couple also made sure to make the kids feel welcome! This wedding had 30 children in attendance who all received personalized fabric bags with plastic red lips, eye patches, moustaches, and more…  Please go see the rest of this fabulous day for more homeade details!!
